Apate.ai stood out amongst a strong shortlist. Our nomination highlighted impact that spans sectors and borders, tackling a problem that touches almost every single person in the region.
Apate.ai helps organisations identify and disrupt scam activity before customers are impacted. Our AI-powered agents engage scammers directly across voice and messaging channels, generating live intelligence from active scam campaigns. That intelligence gives fraud teams at banks, telcos and other partner organisations the insight to spot emerging threats earlier and understand how scam campaigns operate, and the tools to disrupt them..
Apate.ai grew out of cybersecurity research by our CEO, Dali Kaafar, at Macquarie University's Cyber Security Hub. What started as an academic project is now an enterprise fraud counterintelligence platform, with Tier 1 bank and telco customers across Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, Africa and the UK.
